How Public Housing Transformed New York City 1935-67

This documentary explains how the old houses of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York were torn down and a new rehousing project was implemented. Dr. Joel Schwartz, professor of history,  shows how  some parts of New York like Williamsburg looked like before the public housing projects of New York.  The photograph collection that is shown in this documentary shows how the average New Yorkers lived in late 1930s and early 1940s. It Also shows interesting sites of simple graffities on the walls in Manhattan.
