The Tragedy of Urban Renewal – The Destruction and Survival of a New York City neighborhood

Reason.tv explores the results of the renewal of the 99th street of New York, which was recognized as slum in the beginning of the 1950s. The whole street was demolished and a new urban plan was implemented instead. The old residents of the neighborhood still feel close connections to their old living place.
